Joe Cocker: An uncomparable voice

Born on May 20th, 1944 in Sheffield, Joe Cocker began his career in music at the age of 15 in his hometown in England, in a band known as the Avengers (Vance Arnold being his artistic name at the time), followed by the Big Blues in 1963 and then the Grease Band in 1966. In 1969, Joe Cocker received a special invitation to The Ed Sullivan Show.

Joe Cockers first great hit song was with the classic “With a Little Help from My Friends”, a Beatles version recorded with guitarist Jimmy Page.

Great successes followed during the 80’s and 90s with hits such as “Up Where We Belong”, “You Are So Beautiful", "When the Night Comes" e "Unchain My Heart".

With 25 albums to his name (21 studio albums and 4 recorded live), Joe Cockers live performances are renowned for their physical intensity and the presence of the unmistakable and characteristic voice which has lead to long successful career.
